If, like me, you live in a place that has cicadas, you may have been spending time outside and seen a cicada shell clinging to a tree or sitting on a leaf-a fascinating and pretty byproduct of a cicadas' life cycle. When cicadas mature and become adults, they come out from their burrows in the ground and then find a place to grow and begin flying, leaving behind an amber colored cicada-shaped shell. I always love to hear the singing of cicadas on bright green days, and now I have a nice shirt design to remember them by.
